Effective: Tuesday, January 24, 2023 - 4:28pm to 7:30pm
Alert:
...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR THE
ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.
* WHERE...The island of Kauai in Kauai County.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM HST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 426 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over the north shore of Kauai. Rain was falling at a rate of up to 2 inches per hour. Additional showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible through this evening. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kapaa, Princeville, Kilauea, Wainiha, Hanalei, Haena, Na Pali State Park, Kokee State Park, North Fork Wailua Trails, Moloaa, Anahola, Polihale, Barking Sands, Kalihiwai and Waimea Canyon State Park. This advisory may need to be extended beyond 730 PM HST if flooding persists.
