Box Jellyfish Advisory

Effective: Monday, April 5, 2021 (All day) to Thursday, April 8, 2021 (All day)

Lifeguards are observing a moderate influx of Box Jelly Fish on the beaches of Waikiki, Ala Moana, and Nanakuli. Signs have been posted. Use caution if entering the water in these areas. Please see a lifeguard at a guarded beach for the most up-to-date conditions.

Notes (optional):

This box jellyfish advisory is being issued because Box jellyfish have been found on the beach and/or in the waters adjacent to the beach park. Box jellyfish are difficult to see in the water and can cause severe stings which may require medical attention.

Unmonitored lands and waters in the impact area described in the alert will also be impacted.

If conditions change before expiration or the event needs to be extended, an update or cancellation will be issued from Hawaii Beach Safety Website.
