* Flood advisory for... The island of Maui in Maui County
* Until 445 AM HST.
* At 152 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy showers from Hana to Haiku and from Waihee to Honolua. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. The Honokohau and and Honopou streams have responded and continue to rise. An additional 1 to 2 inches will remain possible in the next few hours, which may lead to flooding in and around low lying areas.
* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to... Kahului, Kapalua, Honokohau, Kahakuloa, Puunene, Haliimaile, Pauwela, Paia, Makawao, Wailuku, Waiehu and Haiku-Pauwela. This advisory may need to be extended beyond 445 AM HST if heavy rain persists.
A Flood Advisory, previously called an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory, means nuisance flooding is occurring or imminent.
Unmonitored lands and waters in the impact area described in the alert will also be impacted.
