Effective: Thursday, November 8, 2018 - 10:33pm to Friday, November 9, 2018 - 1:30am

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flood advisory for... The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 100 AM HST.

* At 955 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over winddward Oahu near Ahuimanu. Rain was falling at up to an inch and a half per hour.

* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to... Ahuimanu, Punaluu, Waikane, Hauula, Laie, Waiahole, Kaneohe, Kahaluu and Kaaawa. This advisory may need to be extended beyond 100 AM HST if heavy rain persists.
Notes (optional):

A Flood Advisory, previously called an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory, means nuisance flooding is occurring or imminent.

Warning Instruction:
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action. Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn around, don`t drown.

Unmonitored lands and waters in the impact area described in the alert will also be impacted.

If conditions change before expiration or the event needs to be extended, an update or cancellation will be issued from Hawaii Beach Safety Website.
