Alert:
...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTH FACING SHORES OF ALL HAWAIIAN ISLANDS...

.A swell from the southern hemisphere will produce large surf along south facing shores through Friday, then slowly subside this weekend.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST FRIDAY...

* SURF...7 to 10 feet tonight lowering to 6 to 8 feet Friday along south facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands.

* TIMING...Through the day Friday, then lowering this weekend.

* IMPACTS...Moderate...Expect strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong currents making swimming dangerous.
Description:

A High Surf Advisory is issued when waves reach threshold criteria for a particular island and shoreline.

Instruction:
Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution.

Unmonitored lands and waters in the impact area described in the alert will also be impacted.

If conditions change before expiration or the event needs to be extended, an update or cancellation will be issued from Hawaii Beach Safety Website.
