Flood Advisory

Effective: Wednesday, February 14, 2018 - 11:10am to 2:00pm

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flood advisory for... The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 200 PM HST

* At 1106 AM HST, radar showed heavy rain over Oahu with more showers moving up from the south. Radars and rain gages show rain falling at up to 2 inches per hour.

* Locations in the advisory include the entire island. This advisory may need to be extended beyond 200 PM HST if heavy rain persists. This advisory replaces the previously issued advisory. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect.
Notes (optional):

A Flood Advisory, previously called an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory, means nuisance flooding is occurring or imminent.

Warning Instruction:
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. Driving conditions will be hazardous due to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action. Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn around, don`t drown.

Unmonitored lands and waters in the impact area described in the alert will also be impacted.

If conditions change before expiration or the event needs to be extended, an update or cancellation will be issued from Hawaii Beach Safety Website.
