A CONFIRMED AGGRESSIVE 8 FOOT SHARK ATTACKED A SURFER'S SUP BOARD AT WHITE PLAINS BEACH. FEDERAL LIFEGUARDS HAVE CLOSED THE BEACH AND POSTED SIGNS.
A shark(s) has/ have been sighted in the area, the sighting(s) has/have been confirmed by public safety officials, and the animal(s) behavior and/or size may represents a threat to people in the water.
Unmonitored lands and waters in the impact area described in the alert will also be impacted.
If conditions change before expiration or the event needs to be extended, an update or cancellation will be issued from Hawaii Beach Safety Website.
