Shark Warning


Effective: Sunday, August 25, 2019 (All day)


An Aggressive 10 foot shark was observed 20 yards from shore at Ali`i beach. Signs have been posted.

A shark(s) has/ have been sighted in the area, the sighting(s) has/have been confirmed by public safety officials, and the animal(s) behavior and/or size may represents a threat to people in the water.

Affected Monitored Beaches:

Unmonitored lands and waters in the impact area described in the alert will also be impacted.

If conditions change before expiration or the event needs to be extended, an update or cancellation will be issued from Hawaii Beach Safety Website.
